Sidmouth Rock

Sidmouth Rock is an islet about 90 m in diameter, 2 km east of Eddystone and about 28 km south-east of South East Cape in Tasmania, Australia. It is frequently wave-washed and supports no land-dwelling life.[1] It is part of the Southwest National Park and thus part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Site.

Important Bird Area

Together with the nearby Eddystone and Pedra Branca the islet constitutes the 2 ha Pedra Branca Important Bird Area (IBA), identified as such by BirdLife International because it supports over 1% of the world populations of Shy Albatrosses and Australasian Gannets.[2]
